>>> The Annual Bonenkai at Junkaikaku Chinese Restaurant started at 6:30 pm with the opening welcome speech from our Alumni President. After the introduction of Mr. Sha Men Wu, the owner of Junkaikaku, class of 1963, the appetizer came out. During the course of dinner, each one introduced themselves with a petite memory of their past events. We had 7 delicious Chinese dishes and a dessert for only \3,000, thanks to Mr. Sha Men Wu. Chinese Wine (Shokoshu) and Beer were also donated by the owner. After the dessert, we had a singing session of the oldies with our semi-pro guitarist George Mayes (Ozawa), class of 1964. We had three round tables and the table on the far left was seated by Hideaki Sakurai (48), Enver Apanay (51), Fuat Apanay (55), Y. Matsushima (Mats) (55), Peter Atsuhiko Nakaike (55),Francis de Britto (51) and Franz Metzger (58). The center table was seated by Nobuharu Suzuki (67), Ian Walker (66), Kenny Tsutsumi (66), Frank Yip (58), Hiromi Kureha (nephew of Sha Men Wu) (91), and Choboon Oyama (66). The table on the right was seated by Stanley Nemoto (60), Tom Suzuki (60), Duke Sneider (Oyama) (54), Yuzz Kanda (69), James Goto (55) and George Mayes (Ozawa) (64). The Bonenkai ended around 10 pm with our school song. We all had a blast. Hope many of you can join us for the Bonenkai this year.
